KP Government forms body for the selection of a solid waste dumping site
Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has established a committee to curb the problem of solid waste disposal in the provincial capital, according to a news report. The committee was formulated on 28th March in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak. This meeting was attended by various dignitaries from Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) as well.
The officials had been trying to locate a site for dumping for some time now, and finally asked the Chief Minister to intervene. CM Pervez Khattak hence called all MPAs of Peshawar, as well as ministers, to the Chief Minister House to form a committee that would recommend solutions to this problem.
