Proposal for SEZ submitted to BOI
Peshawar: Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has submitted a proposal to the Board of Investment (BOI) for the establishment of Special Economic Zones in Hattar and Rashakai, according to a news report. The provincial government has submitted this proposal through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management (KPEZDMC).
According to the official press release, these SEZs are going to be made on the Framework China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). These are going to be established along Rail Cargo Centres, Logistics Hub and have dedicated Power Plants. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) KPEZMDC, Saeed Ahmad Khan has labelled this as a game changer for the entire province and is optimistic that more development programs would soon ensue.
