Operation against tax defaulters, 2,000 building sealed
Lahore: Under a grand operation throughout Punjab, 2000 buildings owned by property tax defaulters have been sealed in the province, according to a news report. The operation took place in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sahiwal, and other districts of the province. The defaulters owe millions in taxes.
In Lahore, the operation took place in Garden Town, Johar Town, Lawrence Road, Barki Road, Model Town, WAPDA Town, and Harbanspura, among other areas. Excise officers recovered millions in taxes.
Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) also sealed six restaurants in Lahore due to non-payment of taxes.
