Taxes collected by FBR to be refunded: Sindh government
Karachi: The Government of Sindh has demanded for a refund of PKR 9.831 billion from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) deducted from it Provincial Consolidated Fund (PCF), according to a news report. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah asked for this refund on 2nd April, while chairing a meeting.
This meeting was attended by the Excise and Taxation Minister, and various other dignitaries from the finance department. Shah said that the Sindh government was pursuing this matter seriously, and had also taken it up in the Council of Common Interests meeting and he had also written to the Prime Minister about this matter. Shah expressed his concerns over the violation of Article 119, according to which only the provincial government can withdraw money from the PCF.
