Karachi: The Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has said that the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project has suffered considerable delays because of which it will be taken up in next tenure, according to a news report. Shah said this during a meeting held with an eight-member Chinese delegation led by Norinco International President Yuan Jun. The meeting was attended by various other dignitaries as well.
The Planning and Development Minister Saeed Ghani, Planning and Development Chairperson Mohammad Waseem, Principal Secretary to the CM Sohail Rajput, and Transport Secretary Saeed Awan were present to assist the CM.
Shah highlighted that the KCR project has been included in China Pakistan Economic Corridor and all necessary proposals had been submitted. The development of Dhabeji Special Economic Zone project was also discussed at the meeting.
