Faisalabad: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Board of Directors meeting has decided that a No Objection Certificate (NOC) is required for the approval of new colonies, a news source reported.
According to details, the measures were taken to bring in more revenue for the authority, in the same way as PHA Lahore does. The measures were decided to be taken after Punjab government reduced the budget for PHA by PKR 150 million.
Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has been sent a written notice for the purpose. Now a fee of PKR 5,000 per kanal will have to be paid for park land or green belts. The parks and green belts can be prepared by the developers themselves, or they can hire the services of the PHA.
Compliant colonies will be sealed and action taken against them.
