Gujranwala: An investigation has begun into the sale of land owned by the Irrigation Department worth billions by private housing schemes, a news source reported. The suspected activities include cutting down the Irrigation Department's land in form of plots for housing societies selling it illegally.
According to details, housing schemes located near Sialkot Road have been accused of installing their gates or creating plots out of the land owned by Irrigation Department. Some of this land has already been sold.
