Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Building Control Department (BCD) has instructed senior officers of the concerned departments to demolish and reconstruct buildings that were built in violation of the given layout plans, according to a news report. The step has been taken as a means to curb illegal construction activities.
According to a letter sent by Building Control Section II Director Shafi Marvat to the directors of other departments operating under CDA, show-cause notices are being issued on complaints filed against violations of layout plans. This means that these buildings and structures will soon be demolished and rebuilt.
As per the details shared by news sources, CDA Director Land has been instructed to prepare a report to deal with illegal housing societies, wedding halls, marquees, and encroachments in Sector E-11.
In addition to that, boring will only be done with the permission of the Water Supply Director. About the practice of littering drains and sewerage pipes with garbage, industrial waste, and construction materials, the relevant departments have been given the needed directions.
