Lahore: To improve the traffic flow and master planning, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has placed a moratorium on commercialisation in four public and private housing schemes, according to a news report. According to the details, the moratorium has been placed due to the matter of annual and one-time commercialisation fees.
LDA Avenue-I, Jubilee Town, Mohalanwal Housing Scheme, and WAPDA Town are the societies where the moratorium has been placed. Department of Commercialisation and Recovery has also stopped processing cases where commercialisation fee has been paid temporarily.
To improve traffic flow and master planning, only certain plots will be allowed to be commercialised. Moreover, the commercial use of houses will also be banned.
