For each of these localities, various areas have emerged as the most sought-out options. For Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town, the most preferred areas are Iqbal Town, Bahadurabad and Gulzar-e-Hijri. For houses close to commercial areas or if located on corners, prices are even higher. According to our experts, these two variables can bring about a 10%-20% change in prices.
According to Syed Wajahat Ali, in Gulzar-e-Hijri, there is no standard size for houses. The houses are based on various sizes, rather than 120-, 240-, and 500-yards2 which have been used here for standardisation.

According to our expert Munawar Uddin Khan, Gulistan-e-Jauhar’s Blocks 14-16 are considered VIP blocks and these are high-end properties. He has added that the size of properties available here is the same as Block 12, and prices are 10% higher than the rates in Block 12. For houses situated on the corner of each street, prices can come at about 25% more than those of plots in Block 12. The same, according to him, can be said about houses located close to commercial areas such as shops etc.
Defence Housing Authority is the second most preferred locality for house buying in Karachi. The prices for houses here can be found on our Property Listings page. These are the prevailing prices, however, these are subject to market fluctuations.
