Azad Kashmir's share to increase by 50% in NFC Award

Muzaffarabad: The federal government has increased the NFC share of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) by 50%, according to a news report. Now, the region will get 6.3% in the award instead of the former 4.2%, the region will also get an additional PKR 11 billion. This amount will increase each year.
Previously, the federal government had also doubled AJK’s budget. After the fund increase, AJK government decided not to get any additional grants from Pakistan’s government, so it is now financially independent.
