Lahore: Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman inaugurated a state-of-the-art Excise Service Centre in Defence Housing Authority on Tuesday, reported a news source. Rehman was accompanied by Excise & Taxation Director General Ashraf Gondal, Narcotics Director General Raja Zahid, and representatives of a German company GIZ.
Talking to attendees and media, Rehman said that the government is looking to set up counters for Punjab Revenue Authority and Board of Revenue in the Excise Service Centre to offer more advanced facilities to the public.
Gondal appreciated the efforts of the Excise and Taxation Department’s team in digitalis the manual system. He also said that by setting up these service centers in all districts of Punjab, the excise department has set new standards for public service.
