Islamabad: For the upgradation of Pakistan Railway’s Main Line (ML)-III that’s meant to connect Balochistan with Iran, Turkey and then head all the way to Europe, work on preparing a feasibility study is underway, reported a news source.
In this regard, a joint-working group comprising members from Pakistan and Iran have been formed. The group will study aspects concerning the improvement of ML-III and the benefits of trade carried out via this route.
Quetta, Bastan, Zob, Dera Ismail Khan, and Kotal Jam section are also part of the ML-III, and the line will also improve connectivity between the northern and southern parts of the country.
