Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority has started a crackdown against illegal housing societies in the city, reported a news source. In this drive, the authority has presented challans in the court against 15 illegal societies.
Among these, offices of five societies were opened conditionally through court orders. To stop developers of these private societies from extended booking for any more units, the RDA has created a monitoring team. This team has been instructed to submit a report to Town Planning and Traffic Engineering director on a daily basis.
