Multan: Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) has faced a loss of PKR 130 million because a private cement company has failed to meet its end of the agreement on buying garbage for two years, according to a news report. The private company transferred its plant instead of bargaining with MWMC.
According to details, two years ago, MWMC had allowed the private company to stop its plant for two months, but the company hasn’t bought any garbage since then. Instead, it shifted its plant. MWMC has the right to fine the company PKR 2 million as a result of failure to meet the terms of agreement.
