Multan: Multan-Pindi Bhattian Motorway (M-4) will be opened for traffic on August 31, 2018, a news source quoted National Highway Authority (NHA) officials. The NHA officials were briefing members of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Transport.
According to details, M-4 is being completed under four phases, out of which two will be completed by the end of next month, while the route will open to traffic on August 31. The committee also received briefing on Multan-Sukkar Motorway (M-5). The NHA is hopeful to complete this project on time, and is looking to open a part of it to traffic next month.
The committee instructed that the factories located along major highways in the country be firmly instructed to plant trees in their controlled areas. In addition, it also issued orders to open dispensaries along these routes to reduce the number of fatalities caused by road accidents.
