Peshawar: The Swat Motorway’s section linking Swabi and Mardan via Karnal Sher Khan Interchange and Katlang Interchange will be opened for traffic on May 15, according to news sources. This decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak, and attended by the KP Law Minister Imtiaz Shahid Qureshi, Peshawar Commissioner Shahab Ali Shah, the FWO director, and other important officials.
During this meeting, Khattak issued orders to solve the issues related to land acquisition for CPEC City Noshehra. He also instructed the departments concerned to speed up work on development projects. Khattak was also briefed on the status of Swat Motorway, where work is underway around the clock in several shifts. About the status of Noshehra Bridge, Khattak was told that pier capping for it has been completed, and he was given the indication that the bridge is to be inaugurated on May 18.
