Lahore: The contract for the historical Bab-e-Pakistan project has been cancelled again, according to a news report. The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had already laid the foundation stone for the project, and work had also formally begun earlier, but now it has been delayed.
According to the details, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) had awarded the contract worth PKR 4.43 billion to Habib Construction. The project was to begin in March and completed in two phases over two years. Now, a new, revised PC-1 will be prepared and approved for the project and tenders will be invited.
