Lahore: A Chinese group of investors is looking to construct low-cost houses in Sialkot, Faisalabad and Lahore, a news source quoted the Special Assistant to Chief Minister Rana Muhammad Arshad. The Government of Punjab is also looking to fully cooperate with these investors to set up affordable housing units in the province, said Arshad.
With Chinese investment poured in the housing sector, employment opportunities for thousands of people have been created, he further added. Bearing fruits of such investment requires the project be taken professionally. In this regard, the provincial government is also looking to extend cooperation with the Chinese investors regarding the urban development of Punjab.
Arshad also acknowledged that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is playing its major role in bringing the two countries closer and allowing China to see investment opportunities in different sectors.
