TAPI pipeline to follow environmental laws

Islamabad: The Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Climate Change Romina Khurshid Alam has stated that the government is making efforts to ensure that the TAPI pipeline follows environmental laws, a news source reported. He added that a 800-km long portion will be constructed to conform with all the relevant environmental laws, including the provincial ones.
She was speaking at the National Scoping Workshop organised under Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Study of TAPI. She was the chief guest at the event. She asked participants to identify the scope of negative and positive aspects of TAPI in Pakistan, so it could be made more sustainable and environmentally-friendly.
