CDA develops policies for crackdown against encroachment

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to revamp its existing Control Section and Enforcement Directorate before its major crackdown against encroachments, according to a news report.
The CDA has decided to take these measures in order to remove all illegalities in matters pertaining to illegal housing societies and encroachments in the city. According to the plan, the city will be divided into 8 zones and officials of the BCS and Enforcement Directorate would be available in each zone 24/7 to keep everything in check. To provide more thorough on-ground support, more staff has also been hired.

Previously, because of a lack of staff, various areas in the city including Quaid-i-Azam University and commercial markets, had been illegally occupied. The CDA believes that revamping the two departments would bring the necessary reform needed in the city.
